2004-05 President's Response to The Way Forward


  1. Strengthen relationship between Grossmont College, Cuyamaca College, and District Office Staff
  2. Establish linkages with high schools, four-year institutions, community organizations, and business/industry
  3. Develop and implement a college-wide staff development plan that enhances faculty, staff, and student success*


  1. Recruit and fill faculty and administrative vacancies
  2. Continue to integrate institutional planning and evaluation processes that incorporate College, District, and State goals
  3. Reflect departmental student and institutional outcomes and innovations in the Educational Master Plan


  1. Support the alignment of curriculum between Grossmont and Cuyamaca College
  2. Clarify and strengthen the planning and budgeting processes
  3. Establish a process that responds to the new accreditation standards related to student learning outcomes.*


  1. Pursue grant and other funding opportunities
  2. Develop a capital development fund with the assistance of the Grossmont College Foundation


  1. Implement the College Facilities Master Plan
  2. Improve the appearance and functionality of campus buildings, grounds, and furnishings and seek funding for additional facilities
  3. Support the implementation of the new student record information system
