Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) Program

 

Possible Class Sequence

Sequence of Courses

All courses must be completed with a grade of "C" or better.

1. Prerequisites

  • Completion of: Speech Language Pathology Assistant 100 (with a grade of "C" or better)
  • Prerequisite/Co-requisite:  Biology 140 (Anatomy) or BIO 144 (Anatomy & Physiology I) or equivalent completed with a grade of "C" or better.

    Although the Biology requirement does not have to be completed prior to beginning the SLPA program, it must be met prior continuing with SLPA 110.
    (Chemistry 115 - Fundamentals of Chemistry, 4 Units or one year of high school chemistry is a prerequisite for Biology 144)

ATTENTION!
In addition to the SLPA classes as listed below, these courses must be completed as follows:

  • CD 125 must be completed PRIOR to semester III of the SLPA program.
  • CSIS 105 or CSIS 110 must be completed PRIOR to semester III of the SLPA program
  • ASL 120 must be completed PRIOR to semester IV of the SLPA program
  • PSY 120 must be completed PRIOR to semester IV of the SLPA program
  • CD 141 must be completed PRIOR to semester IV of the SLPA program
